Olivais Bathroom Renovation

Problem
The bathrooms in the Olivais apartment had ageing plumbing, outdated wall and floor finishes and a layout that limited practical use. Wet-area performance and user safety were central concerns.
Process
- Renew the plumbing serving the bathrooms.
- Improve waterproofing and drainage detailing.
- Create a clearer, more functional layout.
- Use durable, easy-to-maintain finishes.
Solution
- Removed old sanitary fittings and finishes.
- Renewed plumbing and prepared the wet-area substrates.
- Applied waterproofing and safer flooring.
- Installed new fittings, storage and coordinated finishes.
Before

The project began by stripping the bathrooms back to a sound base and checking the concealed plumbing. The new arrangement was then built around easier use, reliable wet-area detailing and straightforward maintenance.
The renovated bathrooms are brighter, safer and more functional. Renewed plumbing, waterproof finishes and a better organised layout support long-term daily use.
