Problem
The bathrooms in the Olivais apartment had ageing plumbing, outdated wall and floor finishes and a layout that limited practical use. Wet-area performance and user safety were central concerns.
Process
- Renew the plumbing serving the bathrooms.
- Improve waterproofing and drainage detailing.
- Create a clearer, more functional layout.
- Use durable, easy-to-maintain finishes.

Introduction
The project began by stripping the bathrooms back to a sound base and checking the concealed plumbing. The new arrangement was then built around easier use, reliable wet-area detailing and straightforward maintenance.
