Facade Rehabilitation

Start with the building you have

Obra Lisboa carries out facade rehabilitation as part of its exterior renovation work in Greater Lisbon. The brief can cover the wall surfaces and their junctions with windows, balconies and the roof.

For an initial discussion, show us the affected elevations and any visible staining, cracks or loose finishes. Explain when the changes were first noticed and whether the area has been repaired before. General photographs and close views provide useful starting information.

A clear scope for the exterior work

The proposal should separate preparation of the existing surface, repairs, any waterproofing work and the intended finish. Details worth discussing include the materials to retain, the appearance of repaired areas and arrangements for a building that remains occupied.

Access needs its own consideration. Scaffolding, platforms and rope access are options to discuss in relation to the building and the agreed work; none should be assumed to form part of the service before the scope is defined.

Will repainting deal with stains on the facade?

A stain alone does not establish which work is appropriate. The initial discussion should clarify whether the aim is to refresh the finish or investigate a problem that may require work before painting.

Can the work cover only one part of the facade?

Share photographs and identify the areas concerned so that this can be discussed. The appearance of the new finish and its junctions with untouched areas also need consideration.
