Choosing tiles is only one part of a bathroom renovation. The position of sanitary fittings, circulation space, water connections and the condition of existing surfaces need to be considered together.
Obra Lisboa renovates bathrooms in Greater Lisbon, as individual rooms or as part of a wider property refurbishment. Your initial brief should explain how you use the space, what is difficult about the current arrangement and whether there are signs of damp or problems with the existing services.
Photographs, approximate dimensions and a list of fittings you want to retain help establish the brief. The proposal should distinguish removal work, plumbing and electrics, substrate preparation, planned waterproofing and the installation of finishes. Junctions between floors, walls, shower areas and furniture also need consideration.
If damp is present, discuss its source before choosing a cosmetic solution. Covering a wall again does not explain the cause. The scope needs to reflect the existing conditions and any waterproofing work identified during assessment.
Can a bathtub be replaced with a shower area?
This can be assessed against the available space, drainage, substrates and junction details. The intended size and selected fittings need to be discussed before the proposal is finalised; photographs alone do not settle those requirements.
What information helps with a bathroom quotation?
Provide the location, the fittings to retain or replace and any intended layout changes. Describe leaks, stains or difficulties using the room. Photographs help explain these points during the initial discussion and identify questions for assessment.
Tell us what you would like to change and whether the bathroom is part of a larger renovation.
