An apartment renovation may start with an awkward kitchen, a dated bathroom or rooms that no longer suit the people living there. Before selecting finishes, it helps to understand how each change connects with the rest of the home.
Obra Lisboa renovates apartments in Greater Lisbon. Existing plans, photographs and a clear list of priorities provide a starting point for deciding whether the project is a focused refurbishment or a wider intervention involving several rooms and trades.
Identify the features you want to retain, such as flooring, doors, furniture or particular equipment. Then describe the changes you would like to make and any questions about walls, services or circulation. Where the proposal affects technical aspects of the building, architectural and engineering input needs to be coordinated with the work.
The proposal should distinguish included work, materials, finishes and exclusions. Access to the apartment, protection of circulation areas and whether anyone will remain in the property are also useful points to discuss. They affect how the intervention can be organised.
Can the renovation cover only selected rooms?
Yes. The brief can focus on particular spaces. Changes may still affect adjoining areas, especially where services or floor finishes connect, so those interfaces need to be considered when defining the work.
How can I follow the renovation from abroad?
Our architects and engineers speak English. Photographs, videos and written summaries can be shared by email or WhatsApp, according to your preference. You can communicate decisions and approvals through the same channels.
Read about our general renovation service or send your project brief with the location and intended changes.
